1. Uncheck the Connect Automatically box
• In the taskbar, choose the Wi-Fi icon.
• Uncheck the Connect automatically checkbox after selecting the network name.

2. Use Settings 
• Launch the Windows Settings app.
• Navigate to Network and sharing center.
Select Wi-Fi from the left pane menu.
• Select the Wi-Fi connection that you are now using.
Disable the toggle below "Connect automatically when in range."

3. Use the Control Panel
• Launch the Control Panel.
• Navigate to Network and sharing center.
• From the left-hand menu, choose Change adapter settings.
• Open the Wi-Fi network you're using right now.
• Choose the Wireless Properties option.
Uncheck Connect automatically when this network is in range on the Connection tab.

4. Use Command Prompt
• Launch the Command Prompt.
• Type netsh wlan show profile and press Enter.
• Type netsh wlan set profileparameter name=ProfileName connection mode=manual.
• Press Enter.

To reverse the modifications, run the netsh wlan set profileparameter name=ProfileName connection mode=auto.
